Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the son of GOD, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Romans 12:1   Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, because of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship.

Hebrew 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves therefore to GOD. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw near to GOD, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hand, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double mind.

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Mathew 6:33 Seek it first the kingdom of GOD and its righteousness, and every other thing shall be added on to you. What are these things? That thing is the natural things that you desired for your want and needs, GOD no what you need and want even before you asked for it.

Devotion: Spend time reflecting on areas of your life where you may be holding back from fully surrendering to God. Ask Him to help you offer yourself as a living sacrifice, fully devoted to His will and His purposes.

Mathew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Empowering women is a crucial factor in the growth and development of any nation. When women are empowered, they become agents of change, capable of transforming not only their own lives but also the lives of those around them. This is because women play a critical role in the family, the community, and the economy. As the Bible says in Proverbs 31:10-31:

“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. She seeks wool, and flax, and works willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants’ ships; she brings her food from afar. She rises also while it is yet night, and gives food to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considers a field and buys it: with the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard. She girds her loins with strength and strengthens her arms. She perceives that her merchandise is good: her candle goes not out by night. She lays her hands on the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretches out her hand to the poor; yes, she reaches forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household is clothed with scarlet. She makes herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes fine linen and sells it; and delivers girdles to the merchants. Strength and honor are her clothing, and she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looks well to the ways of her household and eats not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and praises her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but you excel them all. Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

This passage from the Bible highlights the importance of women’s work and their role in the family, community, and society. A woman who is empowered can contribute to the development of her family, community, and nation in many ways. She can raise healthy and educated children, contribute to the economy, and help to build a more just and equitable society.

In addition, the Bible also teaches us that men and women are equal in the eyes of God. As it says in Galatians 3:28:

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

This verse emphasizes that there is no distinction between men and women when it comes to salvation and spiritual growth. Both men and women have an equal opportunity to serve God and to make a positive impact in the world.

As a woman, it’s important to make commitments to yourself that will help you grow, thrive, and make a positive impact in the world. Here are 12 commitments that every woman should make to herself, along with relevant Bible verses that can serve as inspiration and guidance.

  • I commit to loving myself as I am, knowing that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)
  • I commit to pursuing my dreams and passions, using my talents to make a difference in the world. (1 Corinthians 12:7)
  • I commit to taking care of my physical, emotional, and spiritual health, recognizing that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
  • I commit to nurturing healthy relationships with family, friends, and community, valuing the importance of love and connection. (Proverbs 17:17)
  • I commit to practicing forgiveness, letting go of bitterness and resentment, and choosing to love even those who have hurt me. (Ephesians 4:31-32)
  • commit to standing up for justice and equality, using my voice to speak out against oppression and discrimination. (Proverbs 31:8-9)
  • I commit to seeking wisdom and knowledge, growing in understanding and discernment. (Proverbs 4:7)
  • I commit to living with integrity and being honest and trustworthy in all my interactions. (Proverbs 11:3)
  • I commit to practicing gratitude, cultivating a heart of thankfulness even in difficult circumstances. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
  • I commit to pursuing financial stability and responsibility, being a good steward of the resources, that God has entrusted to me. (Proverbs 21:20)
  • I commit to being a lifelong learner, seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth. (Proverbs 2:2-6)
  • I commit to living with purpose, using my life to make a positive impact in the world and bring glory to God. (Jeremiah 29:11)

When women make these commitments to themselves, they become empowered to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of those around them. As the Bible says in Proverbs 31:25:

She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

So let us commit to empowering ourselves so that we can empower others and build a better world.

Empowering women is essential for the growth and development of any nation. Women play a vital role in the family, community, and economy, and when they are empowered, they can contribute to building a more just and equitable society. As the Bible teaches us, men and women are equal in the eyes of God, and both have an important role to play in building a better world.

Read Time:2 Minute, 52 Second

Spend Quality Time Together:

Spending quality time together is an essential part of building and maintaining intimacy and connection in any relationship. This means setting aside time to engage in meaningful conversations, shared activities, or simply being together without distractions. As Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Communicate Openly and Honestly:

Effective communication is crucial to maintaining healthy relationships. It’s important to express our thoughts, feelings, and needs openly and honestly, while also being willing to listen to others. Ephesians 4:25 reminds us to “Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Practice Active Listening:

Active listening is a critical skill in navigating conflicts and building stronger relationships. This means giving our full attention to the other person and seeking to understand their perspective without interrupting or becoming defensive. James 1:19 encourages us to “be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.

Seek Reconciliation:

Conflict is inevitable in any relationship, but it’s essential to prioritize reconciliation and seek forgiveness when necessary. As Matthew 18:15 reminds us, “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.”

Practice Vulnerability:

Sharing our thoughts and feelings can be difficult, but vulnerability is necessary for building deeper connections with others. This means being willing to express our true selves, even if we fear rejection or judgment. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us that “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

Encourage Active Listening:

In addition to sharing our thoughts and feelings, it’s important to create a safe and non-judgmental space for others to share theirs. This means actively listening to others and avoiding interrupting or dismissing their perspectives. Proverbs 18:13 reminds us that “To answer before listening– that is folly and shame.

Prioritize Self-Care:

Taking care of our physical and emotional needs is crucial to maintaining strong mental health. This means getting enough rest, eating a healthy diet, and engaging in regular exercise. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.

Seek Help When Necessary:

It’s important to recognize when we need additional support for our mental health and to seek help when necessary. This can include reaching out to a counselor or therapist or seeking support from friends and family. Proverbs 12:15 reminds us that “The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.

Practice Gratitude:

Expressing gratitude for the blessings in our lives is a powerful way to maintain a positive mindset and strengthen our relationships. This means taking time to appreciate the people, experiences, and opportunities that bring us joy and fulfillment. Philippians 4:6 reminds us to “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Maintaining healthy relationships with others is important for our overall well-being, whether it’s with family members, friends, or colleagues. However, building and sustaining these relationships require effort and intentionality. Here are some key facts and biblical principles to help you maintain intimacy and connection, navigate conflict, share your thoughts and feelings, and maintain strong mental health.

Maintaining Intimacy and Connection:

Spend Quality Time Together: In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in our busy lives and forget to spend quality time with our loved ones. However, making an effort to prioritize spending time together, free of distractions, is essential to building intimacy and connection. As Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Communicate Openly and Honestly: Communication is key to building and maintaining healthy relationships. It’s essential to be willing to express our thoughts, feelings, and needs to others, even if it feels uncomfortable. Ephesians 4:25 reminds us to “Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Navigating Conflict:

Practice Active Listening: When we’re during a conflict, it can be easy to become defensive and stop listening to the other person’s perspective. However, active listening is crucial to resolving conflicts and building stronger relationships. James 1:19 encourages us to “be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.

Seek Reconciliation: When conflicts arise, it’s important to prioritize reconciliation and seek forgiveness. As Matthew 18:15 reminds us, “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.”

Sharing Feelings and Thoughts:

Practice Vulnerability: Sharing our thoughts and feelings can be difficult, especially if we fear rejection or judgment. However, vulnerability is essential to building deeper connections with others. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us that “Where there is no guidance, a people fall, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

Encourage Active Listening: In addition to sharing our thoughts and feelings, it’s important to encourage others to share theirs. This requires creating a safe and non-judgmental space for open communication. Proverbs 18:13 reminds us that “To answer before listening– that is folly and shame.

Maintaining Strong Mental Health:

Prioritize Self-Care: Taking care of our physical and emotional needs is essential to maintaining strong mental health. This includes getting enough rest, eating a healthy diet, and engaging in regular exercise. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.

Seek Help When Necessary: It’s important to recognize when we need additional support for our mental health and to seek help when necessary. This can include reaching out to a counselor or therapist or seeking support from friends and family. Proverbs 12:15 reminds us that “The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.
